How can I receive a refund?

You can get a refund within 30 days of purchase if you can't activate your eSIM after troubleshooting with Wanderesim support.

  • Wanderesim may require your cooperation to resolve the issue before a refund is granted.

  • No refunds are available for unused data after the validity period expires.

  • Wanderesim reserves the right to refuse refunds for abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized purchases.

  • Accidental eSIM installations are not eligible for refunds.

  • Make sure your device is eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked before buying, as refunds aren't available if it's not compatible.

Disputes:

You must notify Wanderesim within 14 days of receiving an invoice if you dispute any charges.

Other Cases:

  • For refund requests not covered above, Wanderesim will assess each case individually. 

  • Processing fees may apply.

How to Request a Refund:

  • Contact the Wanderesim support team to request a refund.

  • Refunds are processed based on the reason for your request and may be returned to your original payment method or credited as Wanderesim Bonus Credits.

 

What should I do if I lose my eSIM’s QR code?

If you have lost the QR code, you can log into your Wanderesim account and download it again. If you can’t log in, contact us at [email protected] and we will resend the code within 24 hours.

Can I delete and reinstall my eSIM?

No. The eSIM can be downloaded and activated only once. Make sure you do not delete it before or during the usage.

What should I do, if I use all the data included in my eSIM?

You can top-up your eSIM by logging into your account and  following the top-up instructions.

Can I top up my eSIM?

Yes, you can do so by logging into your Wanderesim account and following the top-up instructions.

When does my data plan start?

Your data plan starts upon scanning and activating the QR code. We suggest activating the eSIM closer to the time of your trip.

When should I activate my eSIM?

We advise downloading your QR code and activating the eSIM prior to reaching your destination to guarantee immediate connectivity upon arrival. Please note that a stable Wi-Fi or mobile connection will be necessary for eSIM activation.

Can I do mobile Hotspot with Wanderesim?

Yes, Wanderesim allows you to use Hotspot. If you turn on the Hotspot and it doesn’t work, try restarting your phone. If it is still not working, make sure the correct APN is in the hotspot section.

Can I use the same eSIM in different countries?

Yes, if you purchase a regional eSIM designed for the specific region you’re traveling to or a global eSIM, in case you’re going to visit countries from different regions. You can see our regional eSIMs here.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account anytime. Just log in, head to Account Details, and click Delete Account. Once you confirm, all your data — including purchase history, eSIM usage, and login info — will be permanently deleted and can’t be recovered. We’ll be sad to see you go, but your privacy comes first!

 
 
Can I call and send SMS with Wanderesim?

Unfortunately, our eSIMs are data-only. This means you can’t make calls or send and receive SMS. However, you can use your internet based messaging apps, such as Whatsapp.

How can I activate my eSIM in Turkey?

If you purchased your device after June 23, 2020, your eSIM will be automatically activated after setup. No action is needed from your end. If your eSIM isn't enabled, reach out to your mobile carrier for assistance.

For devices bought before June 23, 2020, follow these steps to activate your eSIM:

  1. Back up your device and ensure it's running the latest iOS or iPadOS.

  2. Navigate to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset.

  3. Select "Erase All Content and Settings."

  4. Enter your passcode or Apple ID password when prompted, then confirm the erase.

  5. After the erase is complete, restore your device from the backup.

  6. Your eSIM should now be ready for setup on your iPhone or iPad.

Furthermore, according to Turkey's local regulations, if you plan to use roaming data for 91 days or more within a 120-day period, your device's IMEI must be registered with Turkey's Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR). Contact the CEIR for more details.

Do I need an internet connection to activate the eSIM?

Yes, you need a strong internet connection for the activation, preferably 4G or Wi-Fi.

I already have an eSIM on my device, can I add another one?

Certainly! You have the option to add multiple eSIM profiles to your phone. However, only one eSIM profile can be active at a time alongside your primary physical SIM. This dual SIM functionality entails having:

  1. Your primary physical SIM card, and

  2. One selected eSIM profile active concurrently.

How do I install and activate the eSIM?

After making the purchase, you can activate the eSIM on your device either by using the QR code or manually. We have created a step by step guide to help you in the process. Check it out here.

Can I install one eSIM on several devices?

No. One eSIM can only be installed on a single device. Additionally, most eSIMs can only be installed once. However, you can share data with another device by activating the mobile hotspot on your device.

How do I know if I can use eSIM on my device?

An increasing number of smartphones produced by manufacturers such as Apple, Samsung and Google support eSIM technology. Here we have compiled a list of all smartphones currently supporting eSIM. 

Additionally, you can make sure your device is eSIM-compatible by checking the following settings. 

iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings -> Cellular (or Mobile Data).

  2. If you see ‘Add Cellular Plan’ or ‘Add Mobile Plan’, the phone supports eSIM

Samsung:

  1. Go to Settings -> Connections -> SIM Card Manager.

  2. If you see ‘Add Mobile Plan’, the phone supports eSIM

Google Pixel:

  1. Go Settings -> Networks & Internet -> SIMs -> ‘+Add more’.

  2. If you are using Pixel 3/3a or a later model, it will be there and that means the phone supports eSIM.

 

Important: Your phone or device must also be carrier unlocked to use eSIM.

What is a QR code?

A QR code acts as a quick link and activation code for your eSIM profile, making it easy to connect to the eSIM server and download the profile. If you can't scan the QR code, you can enter the details manually. Remember, each QR code can only be used once, so once scanned, it can't be reused to download the same eSIM profile again.

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM, or electronic SIM card, is a digital alternative to the physical SIM cards traditionally used in mobile devices. Designed for travelers like you, a travel eSIM enables users to access local mobile networks seamlessly during international travels without the need to switch physical SIM cards.

Is my phone eSIM compatible?

Before purchasing an eSIM ensure that your phone is compatible with eSIM technology. Additionally, ensure that your device is carrier-unlocked. You can check the list of eSIM-compatible devices here.
